Terms of service
This English version is provided for reference purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy or difference in interpretation between the Korean original and this English translation, the Korean version shall prevail.
These Terms of Service apply to the POWERCRAFT online store (robopwr.com, the “Mall”) operated by PowerCraft (POWERCRAFT, the “Company”). The site www.devicemall.co.kr, operated separately by the Company, is governed by the terms of service posted on that site. The two sites carry different product ranges and run on different service infrastructures, so each maintains its own terms.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Mall and its users in using the Internet-related services (the “Services”) provided by the POWERCRAFT online store (the “Mall”) operated by PowerCraft (POWERCRAFT), an electronic commerce business operator.
※ These Terms apply mutatis mutandis to electronic commerce conducted via PC communications, wireless networks, and similar means, to the extent not contrary to their nature.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Mall” means the virtual place of business established by the Company so that goods or services (“Goods”) can be traded using information and communications facilities such as computers, and is also used to mean the business operator running the online store.
- “User” means members and non-members who access the Mall and receive the services provided by the Mall under these Terms.
- “Member” means a person who has registered as a member by providing personal information to the Mall, who continuously receives information from the Mall and may continuously use the services it provides.
- “Non-member” means a person who uses the services provided by the Mall without registering as a member.
- “Custom-built Goods” means Goods produced individually to a user’s order, reflecting the user’s requested specifications such as cell configuration, voltage and capacity, BMS specification, and enclosure and terminals (custom battery packs and comparable Goods).
Article 3 (Posting, explanation, and amendment of the Terms)
- The Mall posts these Terms, its trade name, the name of its representative, the address of its place of business (including an address where consumer complaints can be handled), its telephone number, fax number, email address, business registration number, mail-order business report number, and privacy officer at the bottom of the Mall’s initial service page so that users can easily find them. The content of the Terms may be made available through a linked page.
- Before a user agrees to the Terms, the Mall must provide a separate linked page or pop-up so that the user can understand important provisions such as withdrawal of orders, responsibility for delivery, and refund conditions. In particular, the Mall separately notifies users of, and obtains consent to, the restriction on withdrawal for Custom-built Goods (Article 17) during the order process.
- The Mall may amend these Terms to the extent that the amendment does not violate applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Documents and Transactions, the Digital Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Door-to-Door Sales Act, and the Framework Act on Consumers.
- When amending the Terms, the Mall will announce the effective date and the reasons for the amendment together with the current Terms on the Mall’s initial page from 7 days before the effective date until the day before it. If the amendment is unfavorable to users, a prior grace period of at least 30 days applies, and the Mall will clearly compare the pre- and post-amendment content so that users can easily understand it.
- Amended Terms apply only to contracts concluded on or after their effective date; contracts already concluded remain governed by the previous provisions, unless a user who has already concluded a contract expresses a wish to be governed by the amended provisions within the notice period under paragraph 4 and the Mall consents.
- Matters not provided for in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms are governed by the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Consumer Protection Guidelines in Electronic Commerce issued by the Korea Fair Trade Commission, other applicable laws, and commercial practice.
Article 4 (Provision and change of services)
- The Mall performs the following:
- Providing information on Goods and concluding purchase contracts
- Delivering Goods for which a purchase contract has been concluded
- Quotation and technical consultation for Custom-built Goods, and their production and supply
- Other tasks determined by the Mall
- In the event of sell-out or changes in technical specifications, the Mall may change the Goods to be provided under future contracts. In such cases, the Mall will immediately post the changed Goods and the date of availability where the current Goods are posted.
- If the Mall changes the content of a service it has contracted with a user to provide, due to sell-out or changes in technical specifications, it will immediately notify the user at an address where notice can be given.
- In the case of the preceding paragraph, the Mall will compensate the user for damages incurred, unless the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 5 (Suspension of services)
- The Mall may temporarily suspend the provision of services in cases such as maintenance, replacement, or breakdown of information and communications facilities, or interruption of communications.
- The Mall will compensate users or third parties for damages incurred due to a temporary suspension under paragraph 1, unless the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
- If services can no longer be provided due to a change of business, abandonment of business, or consolidation of companies, the Mall will notify users by the method set out in Article 8 and compensate consumers in accordance with the conditions originally presented by the Mall.
Article 6 (Membership registration)
- A user applies for membership by filling in the member information in the form provided by the Mall and expressing agreement to these Terms. Member authentication uses a one-time verification code sent by email instead of a password.
- The Mall registers applicants as members unless they fall under any of the following:
- The applicant previously lost membership under Article 7(3), except where three years have passed since the loss of membership and the Mall has approved re-registration
- The registration details contain falsehoods, omissions, or errors
- The applicant is under 14 years of age
- Registering the applicant is judged to cause significant technical difficulty for the Mall
- The membership contract is formed when the Mall’s acceptance reaches the member.
- If there is any change to the information registered at sign-up, the member must correct it directly on the account management screen or notify the Mall of the change by email or other means.
Article 7 (Membership withdrawal and loss of membership)
- A member may request withdrawal from the Mall at any time, and the Mall will process the withdrawal immediately.
- The Mall may restrict or suspend membership if the member:
- Registered false information when applying
- Fails to pay, when due, amounts owed for Goods purchased through the Mall or other debts related to use of the Mall
- Threatens the order of electronic commerce, such as interfering with another person’s use of the Mall or misappropriating their information
- Uses the Mall to commit acts prohibited by law or these Terms or contrary to public order and morals
- If the same conduct is repeated twice or more after the Mall has restricted or suspended membership, or the cause is not remedied within 30 days, the Mall may terminate the membership.
- When the Mall terminates membership, the member registration is cancelled. The member will be notified and given at least 30 days before cancellation to explain.
Article 8 (Notices to members)
- Notices from the Mall to a member may be sent to the email address designated in advance by agreement between the member and the Mall.
- For notices to unspecified members, the Mall may substitute individual notice by posting on the Mall’s notice board for at least one week. However, individual notice is given for matters that materially affect the member’s own transactions.
Article 9 (Purchase requests; notice of and consent to restrictions on withdrawal)
- Users request purchases on the Mall by the following or similar methods, and the Mall must provide each of the following in an easily understandable way:
- Searching for and selecting Goods
- Entering the name, address, phone number, and email address (or mobile number), etc.
- Confirmation of the Terms, of Goods for which the right of withdrawal is restricted, and of cost burdens such as delivery charges
- An indication agreeing to these Terms and confirming or refusing the above items (e.g., checkbox selection)
- The purchase request for the Goods and consent to its confirmation, or consent to the Mall’s confirmation
- Selection of a payment method
- For Custom-built Goods, before the order is finalized, the Mall notifies the user of the restriction on withdrawal (Article 17) in a separate notice containing that information only, obtains the user’s consent by electronic document, and records and retains the consent with the order information.
Article 10 (Formation of the contract)
- The Mall may decline to accept a purchase request under Article 9 in the following cases. However, when concluding a contract with a minor, the Mall must give notice that the minor or their legal representative may cancel the contract if the consent of the legal representative is not obtained.
- The request contains falsehoods, omissions, or errors
- Accepting the purchase request is judged to cause significant technical difficulty for the Mall
- The contract is deemed formed when the Mall’s acceptance reaches the user in the form of the receipt confirmation under Article 12(1).
- The Mall’s expression of acceptance must include confirmation of the user’s purchase request, availability for sale, and information on correction or cancellation of the purchase request.
Article 11 (Payment methods)
Payment for Goods purchased on the Mall may be made by any of the following methods that is available. The Mall may not add any fee of any name to the price of the Goods on account of the user’s payment method.
- Card payments such as credit and debit cards (via a payment service provider)
- Online bank deposit without a passbook, and account transfer
- Other electronic payment methods determined by the Mall
Article 12 (Receipt confirmation; change and cancellation of purchase requests)
- The Mall sends the user a receipt confirmation when a purchase request is received.
- A user who has received the receipt confirmation may, in the event of any inconsistency with their intent, request a change to or cancellation of the purchase request immediately after receiving the confirmation, and the Mall must process such a request without delay if it is made before shipment (for Custom-built Goods, before production begins). However, if payment has already been made, the provisions on withdrawal in Articles 15 through 17 apply.
Article 13 (Supply and delivery of Goods)
- Unless otherwise agreed with the user regarding the timing of supply, the Mall takes the necessary measures, such as packaging, so that the Goods can be delivered within 7 days from the date of the order. If the Mall has already received all or part of the payment, it takes such measures within 3 business days from the date of receipt. The Mall takes appropriate measures so that the user can check the supply procedure and progress.
- Because the supply timing of Custom-built Goods depends on specification finalization and the production process, the production and delivery period is notified individually in the quotation reply or order confirmation, and the notified period is deemed a separate agreement on the timing of supply.
- Delivery is made through domestic parcel carriers such as Lotte Global Logistics and Ilyang Logistics, and other means of transport such as freight services may be used depending on the size, weight, and characteristics of the Goods. The Mall specifies the delivery method, who bears the delivery cost for each method, and the delivery period for each method on the product page or the order screen.
- If the Mall exceeds the agreed delivery period, it must compensate the user for damages caused, unless the Mall proves that it acted without intent or negligence.
Article 14 (Refunds)
When the Mall cannot deliver or provide the Goods requested by a user due to sell-out or similar causes, it will notify the user of the reason without delay, and if payment was received in advance, refund the payment or take the measures necessary for a refund within 3 business days from the date of receipt of payment.
Article 15 (Withdrawal of orders)
- A user who has concluded a purchase contract with the Mall may withdraw the order within 7 days from the date of receipt of the document stating the contract terms under Article 13(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (or, if the Goods were supplied later than that document, from the date the Goods were supplied or supply began). Where that Act provides otherwise regarding withdrawal, the Act prevails.
- Where the user has received the Goods, returns and exchanges are not available in any of the following cases:
- The Goods have been destroyed or damaged for a cause attributable to the user (except that withdrawal is available where the packaging was damaged in order to check the contents)
- The value of the Goods has significantly decreased due to the user’s use or partial consumption
- The value of the Goods has significantly decreased over time to the extent that resale is difficult
- The packaging of original Goods that can be replicated into Goods of the same performance has been damaged
- The Goods are produced individually to the user’s order (Custom-built Goods) or are similar Goods, and allowing withdrawal would be expected to cause irreparable and serious harm to the Mall, where the Mall separately notified the user of that fact for the transaction in advance and obtained the user’s consent in writing (including electronic documents) (Article 17(2)6 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and Article 21(1)1 of its Enforcement Decree)
- In the cases of paragraph 2, items 2 through 5, the user’s right of withdrawal is not restricted if the Mall did not take measures such as clearly indicating the restriction in a place easily visible to consumers or providing a trial product (for item 5, separate notice and written consent).
- Notwithstanding paragraphs 1 and 2, if the Goods differ from the labeling or advertising or are supplied otherwise than as contracted, the user may withdraw the order within 3 months from the date of supply of the Goods, or within 30 days from the date the user became aware or could have become aware of that fact.
Article 16 (Effect of withdrawal)
- Upon receiving the returned Goods from the user, the Mall refunds the payment already received within 3 business days. If the Mall delays the refund, it pays delay interest calculated by multiplying the delay period by the delay interest rate announced by the Korea Fair Trade Commission.
- Where the user paid by credit card or electronic money, the Mall requests, without delay, the business operator that provided that payment method to suspend or cancel the charge for the Goods.
- In the case of withdrawal, the cost of returning the supplied Goods is borne by the user. The Mall does not claim penalties or damages from the user on account of the withdrawal. However, if the withdrawal is due to the Goods differing from the labeling or advertising or from the contract, the Mall bears the cost of returning the Goods.
- Where the user bore the shipping cost when receiving the Goods, the Mall clearly indicates who bears that cost upon withdrawal so that the user can easily understand.
Article 17 (Special provisions for Custom-built Goods)
- Transactions for Custom-built Goods proceed to an order (contract) after the user’s requested specifications are received and the specifications are finalized through quotation and consultation.
- Because Custom-built Goods are produced individually to the user’s requested specifications and cannot be resold to other users, where the Mall has separately notified the user before the order is finalized that withdrawal is restricted and the user has consented by electronic document, cancellation of the order and withdrawal due to a simple change of mind are restricted once production has begun (Article 15(2)5 of these Terms).
- The Mall does not assert the restriction on withdrawal for any transaction in which the notice and consent under paragraph 2 were not given.
- Notwithstanding paragraph 2, if the supplied Custom-built Goods differ from the labeling or advertising or from the finalized contract (specifications), the user may withdraw the order under Article 15(4), in which case the Mall bears the return costs.
- Cancellation before production begins is handled under Article 12(2), and any payment already made is refunded in accordance with Article 14.
- The documents finalizing the specifications of Custom-built Goods (requirement specification sheets, quotations, approved drawings, etc.) form part of the contract, and the Mall retains the record of the user’s consent together with the order information.

- Inquiries regarding exchanges, returns, and after-sales service (A/S) are received through the following channels:

- The return address for Goods returned upon withdrawal is as follows. Return conditions and cost burdens are governed by Articles 15 and 16.
- PowerCraft, A-706, Woolim Lions Valley, 168 Gasan digital 1-ro, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul 08507, Republic of Korea
- If supplied Goods have defects such as manufacturing faults, the Mall takes measures such as repair, exchange, or refund in accordance with applicable laws and the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards announced by the Korea Fair Trade Commission. In such cases, the Mall bears the costs of return and redelivery.
- The period, scope, and conditions of the free warranty are governed by the individual contract, the quotation, or the specification sheet or warranty certificate of the product concerned. Failures or damage caused by the user’s fault, such as use outside normal operating conditions, unauthorized modification or disassembly, external impact, or water ingress, may be excluded from the free warranty.
- This Article does not limit any rights the user has under applicable laws, including statutory warranty liability under the Civil Act.
Article 19 (Protection of personal information)
- The Mall collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide the services and to perform purchase contracts.
- The Mall protects users’ personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws, and matters concerning the purposes, items, retention periods, outsourcing, cross-border transfer, and data subjects’ rights are governed by the Privacy Policy posted on the Mall.
- The Mall does not use collected personal information for other purposes. If a new purpose arises or the information is to be provided to a third party, the Mall notifies the user of the purpose and obtains consent at that stage, except as otherwise provided by applicable laws.
- Users may at any time request access to and correction of errors in their personal information held by the Mall, and the Mall is obliged to take necessary measures without delay.
Article 20 (Obligations of the Mall)
- The Mall does not engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms or contrary to public order and morals, and does its best to provide Goods and services continuously and reliably as set out in these Terms.
- The Mall maintains a security system to protect users’ personal information (including credit information) so that users can use the Internet services safely.
- If a user suffers damage because the Mall engaged in unfair labeling or advertising under Article 3 of the Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising with respect to Goods or services, the Mall is liable to compensate the damage.
- The Mall does not send commercial emails for profit that users do not want.
Article 21 (Members’ obligations regarding their accounts)
- Members are responsible for managing their account (email and one-time verification codes).
- Members may not allow third parties to use their account.
- If a member becomes aware that their account or authentication means has been stolen or is being used by a third party, the member must notify the Mall immediately and follow any instructions from the Mall.
Article 22 (Obligations of users)
Users must not engage in any of the following:
- Registering false information when applying or making changes
- Misappropriating another person’s information

- Infringing the copyright or other intellectual property rights of the Mall or third parties
- Damaging the reputation of, or interfering with the business of, the Mall or third parties
- Disclosing or posting on the Mall obscene or violent messages, images, audio, or other information contrary to public order and morals
Article 23 (Ownership of copyright and restrictions on use)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights in works created by the Mall belong to the Mall.
- Users may not, without the Mall’s prior consent, use for profit, or allow third parties to use, information obtained through the Mall in which the Mall holds intellectual property rights, by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods.
- Where the Mall uses copyright belonging to a user under an agreement, it must notify that user.
Article 24 (Dispute resolution)
- The Mall endeavors to reflect legitimate opinions and complaints raised by users and to remedy resulting harm. Complaints and requests for remedies are received through the contact channels in Article 18(1).
- The Mall handles complaints and opinions submitted by users with priority. If prompt handling is difficult, the Mall immediately informs the user of the reason and the handling schedule.
- Where a user applies for remedy in relation to an electronic commerce dispute between the Mall and the user, the dispute may be subject to mediation by a dispute mediation agency commissioned by the Korea Fair Trade Commission or a city/province governor.
Article 25 (Jurisdiction and governing law)
- Lawsuits concerning electronic commerce disputes between the Mall and a user are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over the user’s address at the time of filing or, absent an address, the user’s place of residence. However, if the user’s address or residence is unclear at the time of filing, or the user resides abroad, the lawsuit is filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
- The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to electronic commerce lawsuits between the Mall and users.
